The Echinodorus 'Fancy Twist' TC (Tissue Culture) is a laboratory-cultivated rosette plant grown under sterile conditions. This production method guarantees the specimen arrives 100% free from pests, snails, algae, and harmful chemical pesticides, making it immediately safe for sensitive setups like shrimp tanks. As it matures submersed in the aquarium, its broad leaves develop a dramatic, undulating, and twisted growth pattern. The foliage features a striking color palette—new leaves often emerge in vivid shades of pink, copper, or deep reddish-brown before transitioning into a variegated, marbled deep green.

Care & Water Parameters

• Tank Placement: Midground to Background.
• Lighting: Medium to High. While it can survive in low-tech, low-light environments, stronger lighting is highly recommended to bring out its distinctive twisted margins and rich red/pink pigmentations.
• Substrate & Nutrition: Heavy Root Feeder. It requires a nutrient-rich aquasoil or a thick substrate bed supplemented regularly with iron-rich root tabs. If the substrate lacks nutrients, its leaves will quickly turn pale or yellowish.
• CO₂ Injection: Optional but Recommended. Supplemental CO₂ is not strictly mandatory, but it significantly accelerates growth rates and enhances the vibrancy of the "twist" shape.
• Temperature: 22°C – 28°C (72°F – 82°F).
• pH Range: 6.5 – 7.5.
• Water Hardness: Soft to moderately hard.
